Interview Coaching

A great resume will only take you so far.  Once you have secured an interview it’s up to you…and you must be able to perform under pressure.

Many people don’t like to sell themselves but that’s what you have to do in an interview.  You must demonstrate you have the ability, skills and competencies to do the job and that you want the job.  And you will need to develop rapport with the interviewer who will be assessing you on multiple levels, including how you will fit into the organisation in terms of its people and culture.  Showing you have the right attitude is vital in an interview.

The best and only way to ensure your interview is a positive experience is to prepare!  Being prepared gives you confidence and will allow you to perform at your best.

Working with you one-on-one, ResRec Professional People will empower you with the skills, knowledge, tools and know-how to prepare for your interviews.

If we are given the relevant information and sufficient time to prepare, we can also tailor your interview coaching session/s specific to an upcoming job interview.  Interview de-briefing by telephone is available if requested.

A typical interview coaching workshop will usually cover all of the following topics but this will depend on your needs.  They can be as informal or formal as you like and can include role plays/mock interviews.  All bookings include a FREE Critical Dos and Don'ts hand out.

  • First Impressions – Making the right first impression; your presentation.
  • Personality – Developing rapport, body language; cultural fit.
  • Interview Assessment Techniques Competency-based (behavioural) interviews, group interviews, panel interviews, skills assessment tests, psychological profiling.
